July’s Mouth-Friendly Recipe 2011

Start your own revolution in oral health! Did you know many of the foods we eat have been proven to help naturally fight bad breath and cavity-causing bacteria? Cheese has a high calcium and phosphate content, clinic which can help regulate your mouth’s pH level as well as strengthen and rebuild enamel. Fresh onions contain high levels of bacteria-killing sulfur compounds. This recipe combines these two flavorful foods into a colorful and patriotic meal.

Red, look White and Blue Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing


  • Fresh Red Onions, thinly sliced – THE RED
  • Swiss Cheese, cut into small cubes – THE WHITE
  • Fresh or Dried Blueberries – THE BLUE
  • Romaine Lettuce, torn into small pieces
  • Cashews, halved or whole

Toss ingredients together and sprinkle cashews on top. Serve with poppy seed dressing.
